The Program for Effective Water Governance in East and West Africa was implemented in seven countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Niger, Tanzania and Uganda.

The program has assessed the main national water governance issues in these countries, have these discussed at country and region level and ultimately work out a number of action proposals to improve water governance.
